Yushchenko: Debating Hryvnia’s Stability Hurts Economy


Any debate over the stability of the national currency may seriously damage the economic stability of Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. His statement came during an interview aired by ICTV on Sunday, April 13.

Yushchenko said that the hryvnia was quite stable. “The National Bank operates on the market soundly and effectively, and no one should cast any doubts upon its policy,” he added.
