Swedish-based IKEA plans to invest $250 million into the construction of a shopping and entertainment mall in Dnipropetrovsk. The project is part of the preparation for the Euro-2012 football championship. The Dnipropetrovsk regional administration’s press-service reported the news. The mall will occupy 43 hectares of land in Zoloti Kluchi cottage district. The shopping center will include food and manufactured goods stores, a skating-rink, a movie theater, a hotel with 100 rooms, offices with a total floor area of 22,000 square meters, a parking lot for 7,000 cars and public areas. Construction will begin this year and will be complete by 2011.
