AvtoKrAZ boosted its first quarter production by 20 percent in 2008, when compared to the same period of 2007, for a total output of 1,209 vehicles. AvtoKrAZ’s press-service reported the news.
Of the 1,209 trucks produced, dump trucks accounted for 44.9 percent, general purpose trucks accounted for 42.1 percent, and prime mover trucks accounted for 13 percent. Euro-2 engines were installed in 84 percent of the vehicles.
AvtoKrAZ’s sold 1,083 trucks in the first quarter, marking a 106 percent surge yoy. Ukrainian customers accounted for 43 percent of total purchases, an increase of 2.3 times year-on-year. At the same time, AvtoKrAZ increased its sales for the spare parts of KrAZ trucks, seeing an increase of 12.9 million hryvnias yoy.

In 2007, AvtoKraZ produced more cars – 4,206 – than it had in any one of the previous twelve years, boosting its output 20.7 percent yoy.
