On April 14, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine failed to place its public bonds, according to the Ministry’s web-site.
The ministry offered two additional bond issues with maturities of two and four years and interest yields of 7.7 and 7.9 percent respectively.
UNIAN reference: According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of April 7, 2008 public bonds in circulation amounted to 8.8 billion hryvnias: Ukrainian banks owned public bonds worth 4.82 billion, non-residents held bonds for 2.46 billion, and other holders had 1.53 billion hryvnias in public bonds.
