Expert: Corrected Stocks are Safest Investments

The safest move for investors would be to buy stocks which have experienced a greater correction than the PFTS stock index, according to Yuriy Bilynsky, a leading analyst with Foyil Securities.

“Now, investors can make profit on buying stocks which have posted the biggest losses during the recent weeks,” he said.

According to Foyil, these stocks include Motor Sich (MSICH), Nasosenergomash (SNEM), Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL), Megabank (MEGA), Dniprospetsstal (DNSS), and Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant (NVTR).

However, the Ukrainian stock market has not bottomed out yet. If a pessimistic scenario plays out, some sectors may experience a renewed slump of 10 to 25 percent, Bilynsky said.
